Vietnam is between the five main markets Uruguay has in Asia. Within the framework of an agreement signed between Uruguay and Vietnam, Uruguayan post issued a stamp in homage to Võ Nguyên Giáp, politician and General in the Vietnam People's Army. Giáp was a principal commander in two wars: the First Indochina War and the Vietnam War.

En el marco de la suscripcion de un acuerdo entre Uruguay y Vietnam, Correo Uruguayo realizó un sello conmemorativo con la figura de Võ Nguyên Giáp, político y General del Ejército Popular de Vietnam. Giáp fungió como jefe de las fuerzas armadas en dos guerras: La Primera Guerra de Indochina y la Guerra de Vietnam.
